Fifteen players took to the course for twilight golf on Tuesday 26 November. Tauri Morgan got a 2 on the 7th hole with a finely judged putt, or so he would have us believe. Scores for the day ranged from the spectacular to the mundane. Par for the dry nine was 37; results were Colin White nett 31, Garry Haughey 33, Bryan Jacobsen 33, Murray MacGibbon, Peter Willan, Karen Devine, Bubs Wharehinga and Tanri Morgan all shot nett 36. Round 2 of the Patrons Par competition was played on 30 November. Twenty-five golfers enjoyed ideal weather and a course that is getting better every week. The conditions suited plenty of players and some excellent results were returned. Colin Nightingale scored two 2's at the
12th and 15 th. Rob Tidey (5) and Chris Tidey (11) made it a family quinella for twos. Terry Mitchell (15) and his father Gartn (11) also showed that two's run in the family. Garry Haughey (12) had his regulation Saturday two. A s for the results at the Patrons Par, with one round to go Colin White with +9 on the day is going to be hard to beat. The trip down from Taihape must really suit you Colin. Other results were; Colin Nightingale +5, Rose Hill +5, Barbara Shaw +4, Chris Tidey +4 and Terry Mitchell +4. Next Saturday 7 December is the final round of the Patrons Par competition and is also set aside for December's monthly medal. The Christmas Cheer tournament is on 14 December and there will be prizes for all.
