Guided tour for media people

More than 40 New Zealand media people, from various newspapers and radio stations, are to be shown the highlights of the Ruapehu area in the next few weeks as part of a summer promo-

tion of the area. The campaign is funded by a small group of summer tourist operators and accommodation houses and organised by the Ruapehu South Business Association.

The aim of the campaign is to show the media people what is

available for summer visitors to the region, in the hope that they will

publicise the district through their newspapers and radio stations.
