Bridge on Wednesday 13 November was played using a Howell movement. There were twenty-two boards played but each of the eleven pairs present played only twenty boards. First for the evening with 59.38% of a possible 160 points were John Eades and Jack McClean. Five points behind in second place were Lauretta Eades and Pauline Le Noel with 56.25%. Rita Kaiwhare and Betty Hammond were one point further back with 55.63% and fourth place was shared by Brian Eades and Ron Frew, and Bob Tumataroa and Mark Hays who both scored 53.13%
