Horopito Hall to be retained

Horopito's Hall should be handed to a management committee, the Waimarino Community Board has recommended. The board heard from Mr Colin Fredricksen that Horopito people did not want to lose the hall and that he was happy to supervise the hall as he had done in the past. A management committee would be set up by board member John Compton, the board decided. Mr Fredricksen said most users of the hall in the past had been campers, such as scout groups.
