Lotto laughs

"Comfortable clothes for propa (sic) marketing," was the heading of local Lotto agent Peter Berry's presentation to local 'dream merchants' at a recent conference, The Bulletin's got physical evidence of the Lotto uniform proposed by our man, and it surely must have created a stir when he modelled it in person! It consisted of an over-sized T-shirt and one gumboot and little else. A redesigned Lotto logo looking lots like a loopy face featured on the front; and a glove was tied to the back for saies meetings pats on the back. There was a small hat-computer for plugging in favourite numbers, stick-on smiling teeth, a fan to stop getting hot under the collar, and a pipe from the deep dark recesses up the T-shirt into the gumboot (complete with gauge) for unexpected Lotteries Commission personnel visits or for those unable to leave their Lotto terminal before 7pm on Saturday! It seems the uniform didn't find favour but Peter Berry's performance is said to have caused an almost unanimous belly-laugh among his audience.
