Starting Small Business Course

A successful course for people planning to start small businesses was held recently. All the participants were unemployed people. Course convener Bubs Hibbard said all the participants knew where they were going in life and that the course has given them direction and encouragement to get started with their plans. The extensive course programme was tutored by Angela Baker, Manawatu Resource Centre, together with a number of guest speakers. Mrs Hibbard said she would like to thank the Ruapehu Lions Club, Ruapehu South Business Association, Ruapehu College and also the individual people and firms who contributed to sponsoring unemployed applicants. It is intended to look at motivation and assertiveness courses to compliment another 'Starting Small Business Course'. Anyone interested in doing further courses is asked to contact Bubs Hibbard.
