The brothers have been in Raetihi for about six months working on various jobs and have decided to stick around. Although from Wanganui, they know the area well, Russell having worked for the area health board for several years on their maintenance work, which included Waimarino Hospital, and Barry has worked on painting jobs at Taihape and for several months at times at Waiouru. Russell has 25 years' experience in the carpentry and joinery field and Barry has been painting for 15 years, "doing the lot".
