Child left in car at ski field car park
Police were called by Turoa Ski Resort staff on Saturday afternoon after they discovered a toddler locked in a car parked in the ski field carpark. The child had been left while the parents had gone skiing, and the staff had found the child in an hysterical state, distressed from the heat. The staff managed to break into the vehicle and took the child to the Turoa Ski Patrol base were it was tended to. Police said the staff would speak to the parents about the dangers of their actions. No further police action was likely, said Police.
