Course impressed
• I recently had the pleasure of being a guest speaker at a course for people interested in starting a small business. Co-ordinated by Bubs Hibbard and facilitated by Angela Baker of the Manawatu Resource Centre, the course entitled "Starting Small"
has been an excellent source of motivation for the seven participants all of whom are unemployed. The ideas they brought to the course were top-notch, and when put in place will provide jobs not just for them but potentially for others in the future. I would like to thank Bubs for the energy and effort she put into the course and to the people who assisted her with sponsorship. Anyone interested in self-em-ployment and government funding under the "enterprise allowance" scheme should call at my office in the Ohakune Information Centre on Tuesdays from 10am-3pm
