Raetihi power generation records

The wet weather in August was good and bad for Midwestern Powerco, with staff having to deal with rain on every day of August, while the Raetihi Power Station has had months of top performance. In August the station generated 271,320 kilowatt hours, well above the previous record of 257,400kWh set in July 1988. September saw 208,390kWh generated, the fourth month this winter the figure has topped 200,000. August last year 54,510kWh was generated and in September that year, 86,070kWh was generated. A weekly record of 63,120kWh was generated in the week ending 5 August.
