Rugby farewell
Michael Wills is now ready to leave on 20 October on his trip of a lifetime to the USA, Canada and France with the Rugby News New Zealand Youth Tour. On Thursday evening an official farewell function is to be held for Michael at 7pm at the restaurant on top of the Ohakune Club. Those who are not interested in going to the dinner may turn up for the official presentations and speeches at 8pm. The officials will include representatives from the Wanganui Rugby Union, Ruapehu Rovers, Ohakune-Karioi Rugby Club and Winstone Pulp International. The invitation is open to all members of the Ohakune-Karioi Rugby club, Winstone workmates and other clubs that Michael is associated with. The bulk of the money raised has been made at a large batons up, a Casino evening, potato saies and raffles. A large amount of the money is to be presented to
Michael on Thursday night from the Unions Club and Workmates. Those intending in coming along to wish Michael well on his forthcoming trip please advise Rex Oliver at Ruapehu Motors of numbers for the dinner.
