Rotten weather at Turoa on Sunday did nothing to scare away this band of horrible people who took part in Turoa Ski resort's Scary Mask competition. Mark Munro from National Park took home a season pass for 1992 for his scaryest efforts, while Luke Darlow from Wellington and Cath McCall from Ohakune won ski lessons for their efforts. Mark's creation, based on a papier mache covered bucket, included materials such as possum parts, deer skin, nails, paint, biro bits, and the wings off a road-kill mallard (yek!).
