Marketing manager supported
Councillors who may be swayed towards voting to rescind the appointment of a Ruapehu District marketing manager should be lobbied by Ruapehu South Business Association members. This was the feeling at a recent meeting of the Association. Chairperson Sue Allomes said the decision to appoint a marketing manager would have to be rescinded by a vote of councillors, but that she feared this could happen. Mrs Allomes said there were a few at the recent public meeting who were against the appointment. but that most of them were from Taumarunui. Mrs Allomes said a marketing plan for the District was presently being prepared by the Taumarunui Development Incorporation (TDI). "It is a huge job and we don't have the resources to do it," said Mrs Allomes. She said the RSBA is providing local resource lists to help with the plan. The marketing plan would give councillors some idea of what was planned
