Playcentre plea
• This letter is a plea to both the honest and dishonest among us. Our Playcentre has been broken into and our precious belongings taken and tampered with twice. Our plea to the honest is to please keep an eye on our Playcentre as you drive past, especially at night. Our plea to the dishonest is please stop - these things you are taking are far more important to us than they are to you, its the kids who are missing out. The things taken so far on two separate occasions are: Petty Cash - which is no longer kept on the premises; tea, coffee, Milo and cordial; plus a big mess in our office area!. Then a radio cassette player normally used every day; a new vacuum cleaner - very distinctive bright yellow, Karcher brand, stand-up type; a comprehensive first aid kit - in specially made wooden box. The Playcentre Committee has put much effort into fundraising to bring our Centre into the second-to-none asset it is, also because of the fundraising, you, the locals, especially the local businesses, have paid for these things.
