Rugby cash

Young rugby player Michael Wills was given $500 by Winstone Pulp International to help fund him on his rugby tour next month. Michael has been working at the Mill since he left school three years ago as an apprentice fitter and turner. Mill manager, Dave Anderson, said the company is keen to help support his trip. Michael needs $6,600 to cover travelling, accommodation, meals

and personal expenses. The Ohakune-Karioi Rugby club have formed a group of family and friends to raise the necessary funds. He has been selected for the Rugby News New Zealand Youth team to tour for 35 days around USA, Canada and France. The fund raising projects organised by the. committee include: Wood Cutting Day on 5 October and Casino Evening on 12 October at the Ohakune Primary School Hall.
