Tani Blackburn and Bill Te Karu put in a very impressive performance on Wednesday 25 September to take the third round of the mixed pairs tournament with 70% of a possibble 240 points. The second place getters were Ron Marin and Elaine Goldfinch who were 26 pts behind with 59.17%. There was a 96 point spread over the Northsouth teams. The East-West competition was a lot closer with Rita Kaiwhare and Sarah Hamlin scoring 58.33%, six points ahead of Pauline Le Noel and Jim Cranston with 55.33%. Thirty six points seperated first and last places in the East-west direction.
