Sometime Saturday night/Sunday morning at a property in Whangaehu Valley Road thieves cut through a padlocked farm gate with a chainsaw and drove to a farm shed where they removed a winch and wheels from a hay feeding trailer. Police said it seemed the thieves were intent on building either a hay feeding trailer or, more likely, a boat trailer.
