Hay barn fire

It took firefighters from the Ohakune Volunteer Fire Brigade more than an hour to quell a hay barn fire in Mangateitei Road on Saturday. They were called to the fire, which was in a bam one-third full of hay, at about 11.15am. They used high pressure hoses from a tanker to fight the blaze.
