Wednesday 11 Sept was the first night of a four night mixed-pairs competition. NorthSouth was won by Tani Blackburn and Bob Tumataroa with 61.25% and John Eades and Elaine Goldfinch were second with 55%. First place in the East-West direction was shared by Tracy Ennis and Bev Cox along with Brian Eades and Jenny Mottram who both scored 60%. The next place was taken by Rita Kaiwhare and Mark Hays. A total of twenty boards were played over five tables and the maximum score possible was 160.
