Pony Club Quizzes
Waimarino Pony Club held their annual horsemanship quiz on the 24 August at the Lions Den, Ohakune. Branch members were mixed up, with two adults teams also competing. There were seven teams altogether with the winning team being: H Cooper, D Hill, E Gotlieb, J Bath. As this was an adults team the trophy could not be awarded to them. The winners of the trophy were pony club members: M Mitchell, S Williams, K Richards and S Bath. Branch teams were selected to compete in the King Country Quiz on the 31 August. The Raetihi team won with a score of 118. This is the 4th year in a row the Raetihi branch has won. Scores: Raetihi 118, Ohakune 1151Y2, Taumarunui 115, Ongarue 101, Kaitieke 90.
