Chains used in town
Shops hiring chains should advise their customers of the by-law which says snow chains must not be used within the Ohakune town boundaries. This was the view of Waimarino Community Board members who last week discussed the increased numbers of people driving in the town with chains fitted. Board member Ellen Gould said she had recently seen several cars driving around the town with chains fitted.
