Driver killed

A 20 year old Auckland visitor was killed when this car, which he was driving, ffailed to make the bend on Goldfinch Street - Mangawhero Terrace at the corner of Shannon Street and ran off the road and through a post and rail fence. He was Heath Leo St John Eagle. A passenger in the 1985 Toyota Corolia was taken to Wanganui' Base Hospitai. The accident, which police said appeared to be caused by excessive speed, happened at about 11.15pm Tuesday night last week.
