Region rates
The Manawatu-Wan-ganui Regional Council has set its rates for the 1991/92 period with the acceptance of its corporate Plan. The rates set for each District in the region were: Horo whenua District $1,160,723; Manawatu District" $1,401,582; Palmerston North City $3,075,245; Rangitikei District
$626,414; Ruapehu District $766,980; Tararua District, $806,169; Wanganui District $1,492,523; Part Stratford District, $9800; Part Taupo District, $89; Part Waitomo District, $9225. Discussion regarding the submissions received for the Corporate Plan highlighted that in future the document should aim for a clearer presentation.
