The year's top movie plays for PTA

"Dances with Wolves is the story of a time long past in America, a time when land ran unbroken and the water ran clear and the air sparkled," says the press releases. "It is a story of a free people who so dominated their enemies they were called the Lords of the South Plains." Tickets for this film which should not be missed, and the fundraising supper, can be purchased from Berry's Bookshop or from the Primary School. Dances with Wolves, the multiple award winning film produced and directed by Kevin Costner who also plays the lead, is to be screened at the Ohakune picture theatre as part of a fund raising event for the, Ohakune Primary School Parent Teachers Association. The evening, following similar successful events in past years, will include a wine and light supper at the Ohakune shopping centre next to the BNZ, on Friday 21 June. This incredible movie, with brilliant photography, is set in the time of the Sioux Indians, when contact with the white man was just beginning.
