Waimarino golf

Highlight of the weekend was the pennant teams win in the C grade competition. After five years in the bottom grade Waimarino will compete in the B grade next year. A great effort by all concemed. Sunday's golf was played in near perfect conditions, however the scores in the senior division no way reflected the weather. One well known senior golfer created a new putting record on the second green finally sinking the ball on the seventh putt. Results for the day are as follows; Senior J Corbett 73 nett, N Clarke and T Fredricks Jnr 74, and S Magee 75. Juniors M Steele 69 nett. S Gray 70, M Hayes 71 C Pepene 72 and G Price 73. Ladies G Whale 69 nett. The only two for the day was scored by John Hammond. Sponsors for the day were BNZ Raetihi and Kunieraft.
