Meet Rangataua's new teacher
Jenny Stewart took up her position as teacher at the Rangataua school at the beginning of the second term. Originally from Wairoa, Jenny came from a three teacher school at Te Poue in Hawke's Bay to
Rangataua, a single teacher school. Jenny has been teaching for 13 years and is trained in reading recovery. She has two sons. The eldest is a boarder at Lindesfarn in Hastings and Tony who is in Form two at Rangataua. "It is nice to be here as we really wanted to
come," said Jenny. Both Jenny and Tony enjoyed the snow on Monday last week as it was a real novelty to them. There were five new admissions at the Rangataua school this term, two new entrants and three who had recently moved to the area,
bringing the roll to 21. Jenny has assistance from trainee teacher Lila Pakinga.
