Assault after beer theft
One man has been arrested and charged with assault and Police are seeking another for questioning after a brawl at the Powderkeg Inn, Ohakune last Thursday night/Friday moming. A fight had broken out inside the inn, involving about eight people. A keg of beer was later stolen and a fight developed outside over the matter, between 3-5 people. A man was taken to hospital unconscious and with facial lacerations. He was discharged later on Friday.
