Successful inaugural bull sale

Te Wheronui Partnership of Harold and Greg and Chris Windle held a very successful inaugural bull sale on 7 June. The sale was held at Harold Windle's Middle Road property where a new sale arena and rostrum had been built. Fifteen rising year Santa Gertrudis bulls were offered for sale. All bulls sold and made an average price of $3,106. Two bulls sold for the top price of $4,300. Strongest buying interest was shown from Warkworth, Te Kuiti, Taumarunui, Waverley, Wanganui and Taihape as well as local buyers. A two year old jack donkey offered was also sold.
