High placing in pony club champs
Waimarino Pony Club rider Cindy Langdon rode well to finish 7th in A1 dressage the New Zealand Pony Club Championships held recently at Pukekohe. Cindy captained the King Country team, riding Alcazar. and competed against a high standard field of 52 rider s. Unfortunately one stop in the cross country kept her out of the top places, finishing the
third day with a very good clear round in the showjumping. The team finished without a team score due to one elimination and one horse being unable to compete on the the third day after being vette'd out. The other team members who rode well were Kerri Stratford, Channelle Davies, Becky Cochrane and Teresa Wills. Cindy asked that her thanks be passed on to the community for the
support in iund raising shc received. The AGM of the Waimarino Pony Club was held recently with ihe following officers being elected: district commissioner Nicky Williams, president Lorraine Taylor, secretary treasurer Jill Evans, chief instructor Evelyn Cooper. The club is looking forward to another good season and thanks the public for their support over the past season.
