Winter games invitation

All visitors to the Waimarino area during the May school holidays who may be thinking of competing in this year's NZ Winter Games are invited to call in to the Ruapehu Visitors Centre and the Winter Games Head Office at 54 Clyde Street, Ohakune, to obtain more information about these games which are to be held between 15 September and 5 October. In this year's Winter

Games programme for the Ruapehu region the following sporting codes are represented: Badminton, Basketball, Cycling, Darts, Golf, Mountain Biking, Netball, Rollerblading, Rugby, Snooker, Soccer, Squash, Swimming, Triathlon, Fun Runs.and a variety of alpine events on the Turoa and Whakapapa skifields including slalom, giant slalom, freestyle, snow boarding and speed skiing.
