High Noon T Bar hums

Electricity history for Turoa was quietly made last week when power made it to the High Noon T Bar transformer in tests of the new reticulation system. Turoa staff were asked to listen for the hum of the transformer at the High Noon T Bar, which is the highest point of the reticulation system, when power board staff tested it. An official switch flicking ceremony is planned for Queen's Birthday weekend by which time Turoa's electric ski lift motors, which arrived last week, should be installed.
