Waimarino Golf Club on Friday aftemoon. The golf was won by the reps and growers team with Heather Cranston and Neil Cranston of Ohakune, Brian O'Loughlin of T auranga winning the
stableford competitionN. Longest drive was Craig Nash of Auckland and nearest to the pin was Baniva Vakawati of Auckland. No 2's were scored. About $141 was raised on the gambling hole which was donated to the Ohakune Plunket. On Saturday morning a 4x 2Km relay was run from the Ohakune-Karioi rugby club around the giant carrot down Clyde Street, around the Mobil corner, back to the rugby grounds and running a full circuit around the grounds. The baton for the relay was an appropriate large carrot. The relay was won in fine style by the team comprising Keith Cranston and Colin Cranston of Ohakune and Ross Mutton of Te
Puke and Mike Van Workum of Hastings. Touch rugby was next with all districts entering teams. After a very tiring day it was an Auckland -Wellington
final, with Wellington taking the honours. Friday and Saturday evenings were spent upstairs at the Ohakune Club playing preliminary rounds and finals
for darts, pool, and indoor bowls.. The darts was won by Central Districts, pool was won by reps and growers, and indoor bowls was won by Auckland.
