Kindergarten says thanks

• On 15 April the Ohakune Kindergarten held its annual hangi and batons up evening at the Ohakune Primary school. The evening was a great success, due in part to the hard work of committee members, kindergarten parents and individual people outside of the kindergarten, all of whom gave so willingly of their time and effort. Secondly the generosity of our local market gardeners, business and individual persons who donated meat, vegetables, bread, corn and refreshments for our hangi, made for a very hearty meal, enjoyed by the many who attended the evening. The generosity also of our local business community and parents in the donation of the many prizes for the batons-up tables contributed greatly to the success of this fundraising event. The kindergarten also catered for a Turners and Growers informal function at the Ohakune Club with another hangi, again the time and efforts of those involved in organising and preparation was overwhelming. What can we say except THANK YOU to those many individuals and businesses for your hard work and your generosity. I hope this letter goes in some measure to ex-

pressing our appreciation and our gratitude. Once again thank you for your support.
