Raetihi trounced

BY DOUG MCLEAN Huia comprehensively defeated Raetihi 45 - 12 at Rugby on Saturday. The first half was reasonably even with Huia leading 18 - 9 at the break. Even though Raetihi have improved in the set pieces from last week they lacked the urgency and commitment of Huia. Huia's forwards worked well together and arrived at the loose ball in numbers. Their backs looked sharp and supported each other well. Players to stand out for Huia were Robert Adams and Kerry Whale in the forwards and Thomas Scott, David Kereti, Kelvin Chase and Lee Turnbull in the backs. Prop Tom Rawiri and flanker Chris Bennett didn't stop trying for Raetihi. Micheal Te T ana also contributed well in the tight. The game was an open entertaining affair with both sides willing to play expansive rugby. Huia scorers: Thomas Scott, Brett Hamilton, David Kereti, Dean Chase, Kerry Whale and Kelvin Chase two tries. Kelvin Chase kicked six conversions and a penalty. Raetihi: Wayne Te Huia, four penalties. Waiouru beats Ohakune Karioi Waiouru beat Ohakune Karioi 17-13 on Saturday, taking their total to three wins so far this season. (Editior's note:
