Highfield sale

The second amual sale was held on site at Highfield for David Griffith last week. There was a yarding of 8,500 sheep, mainly mixed age and five year old.ewes. Weather conditions had a major affect on the sale as the sheep did not present so well and prospective local buyers tended to stay away. Outside buying interest came mainly from Wanganui, Fielding Taumarunui Taihape and Hawke's Bay. Better ewes run with ram made between $18-

$20.20 with medium ewes making between $15-$ 18. Lighter ewes tended to sell to works interests. The two tooth market was less buoyant selling between $20-$24.
