Perfect Shot

Janice Donghi played the perfect shot on the ninth hole at the Waimarino Golf Course on Wednesday 3 April. Using a seven iron Mrs Donghi hit toward the green and as there is a mound in front of the green did not see where the ball went. When Mrs Donghi got to the green she thought the ball may have gone through the green and so looked there for it when one of the other players in the group suggested that it may have gone in the hole. "At first it didn't really sink in. It is hard enough to get the ball on the green let alone a hole in one," said Mrs Donghi. Over the last ten years there have been 20 holes in one at the Waimarino Golf Club. This is the seventh hole in one on the ninth in that period.
