Raetihi Scout Hall needs work
The Raetihi Scout Hall needs urgent repair work or it will be lost to the town, according to WCB mcmber John Compton. At the Waimarino Community Board meeting last week he asked that council officers look into the status of the hall and who is responsible for its upkeep. He said he believed there were funds held in account by the scouts which were earmarked for maintenance but that the scouts were currently in recess. Corporate services director John Murrihy said the council had 300 properties it was investigating and that the scout hall was just one of them.
