Judges at this years Waimarino Rodeo said the stock is the best they have seen in New Zealand for many a year. Glen Campin and

Roger Hoe said it was the best hue of bucking steers they have seen. The hcrves and bulls also perfoimed well. Locai cowboys who competed rode well with several of them making

time. The best local rider in the 2nd Division Steer Ride was Craig Paterson with Craig Wiggins next. "Everything rau smoothly thanks to ihe committee and other

workers. A large number turned up on the day to do their thing". said president Neil Wiggins. "The two day rodeo was a great success, the weather was the best for several years with better

gates than last year." The St John's men spent most of their time dealing to wasp stings as even though the committee had dealt with several nests they were a problem.
