Ohakune Kindy AGM
The Ohakune kindergarten held its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 27 February at the Ohakune kindergarten. To encourage attendance a pot-luck-tea followed by various outdoor actvities including a lolly scramble was organised for the children while parents attended this year's AGM. The meeting opened with the reading of the minutes from the previous AGM, yearly reports from the chairperson, treasurer, and head teacher were presented, followed by the election of the new committee which is as follows: Karen Cranston, chairperson, Susan Cranston, secretary; Amanda Streeter, treasurer along with committee members Chris-
tine Treweek, Trinette Mott, Alice Elfstrom, Wayne Streeter, Mary Froggat and Mary Cranston. High on the new committee's agenda is this year's kindergarten hangi and batons up, set for Monday 15 April. With the first meeting of the new committee held on Monday 4
March, organisation for this event, which will again be held at the Primary School Hall, is well underway. The batons up and hangi evening is the kindergartens main fund-raising event for this term and promises to live up to its reputation as a fun-filled and enjoyable evening.
