Dangerous flying charges
A helicopter pilot is to appear in the Taupo District Court next month to face dangerous flying charges. The charges have been laid under the civil aviation regulations and relate to an incident where he is alleged to: have flown his helicopter at a height above ground level lower than 500 feet over the Turoa Skifield; flown dangerously; and flown over a populous area lower than 1000 feet above the ground.
