Time to be counted New Raetihi
bus agent
Raetihi people wishing to travel by Intercity bus can once again buy their tickets in their town. On Monday 4 March the Ritz tearooms became the new agents for Intercity and they are hoping to have ferry tickets available in a few weeks. At this stage the Ritz is not handling freight. Since the closing of the agency at Four Square recently, Raetihi people have had to get their tickets through the
Ohakune agency. Proprietor Alan Zohs said they have applied to the Ruapehu District Council for a bus stop outside the old Post Office house and the Ritz for the convenience of bus passengers. This application was granted at last week's Community Board meeting. The bus stop conditions would apply for half an hour twice a day, when the Intercity buses were due, at about 1pm and 4pm, said Mr Zohs.
