Young divers to nationals

Two young Raetihi divers are off to the New Zealand nationals competitions at Kilbernie in Wellington this week. The pair, Kerri Allerby and Rochelle Te Huia, will be diving in the 13 and under age group one-metre-board competition. Coach Cynthia Binzegger said the

judges in their qualifying competitions made it very hard for them. "I think they were too tough," said Mrs Binzegger. "Some of our other divers should be

there too, such as Jesse Pope. They said they were very impressed with her efforts but yet she didn't qualify." At the last qualifying meet Kerri learned six

new dives from the three metre board in the time leading up to the competition and was placed 12th equal in the 3m competition, said Mrs Binzegger.
