Health staff shuffle

A top staff shuffle at the Waimarino Health Care Centre is taking

place at present, with the departure this week of centre manager and midwife Eve Rush. Eve is moving to Wanganui for personal reasons, but will take up

a charge nurse position there in the assessment and rehabilitation unit, which will see her retain some contact with the Waimarino. Until a replacement for Eve is found Charge Midwife Margaret Martin will fill her shoes, as the co-ordinator of the Waimarino health services as well as taking on the community midwife role. Mrs Martin has worked at Waimarino on and off since 1977. It may be two months until a replacement for Eve is found, she said, and while the work the replacement undertakes will be the same the title may be different. Also new in the management area is community health manager serving the Wanganui district, Kim Gosman of National Park. In her last week of work at Waimarino Eve has been showing Kim around the district introducing her to staff and associated people. A farewell afternoon tea will be held for Eve on Wednesday at 3.30pm at the hospital and all are welcome.
