Runners give $3000 to Waiouru School
Waiouru 'Klansman' Wiilie Walker checks out some of the syllabus material that Waiouru School teachers use in their work planning with principai Tauri Morgan. Mr Walker was at the school's open Board of Trustees meeting last Thursday to present a $3041 cheque to the school to buy a video camera, accessories and blank tapes. The money was raised by the 'Klansmen' running team in the Around the Mountains Relay last year. 22 runners gathered sponsors for their effort to raise the money. The runners were: Charlotte Otene, Hemi and Chris Heminigson, Keiv and Kim Chris tiansen, Buckets and Karen Taotahi, Rod McKinnon, Juanita Brausch, Nina Waru, Irene Mclnerney, Kevin Gosnel, Wille Brayton, Phillip Harris, Tania Paul, Peter Barnes, Sheily McDonald, Darcy Gildbert, Sandrina Phillips, Wiilie Walker, Helen Mathews, and Maureen Price.
