80th Waimarino A&P Show
& Waimarino Shears
The 1991 show on 16 and 17 February promises to be a fun day for all the family. The fun run from the Golf club to the showgrounds is a new idea put forward by Ziggy Bauer, that verteran of world class distance running. And we hope the public will join in and make our
first run a success. "Also new this year is the homebrew and wine competition - we hope for good entries - come on you brewers, lets see if your brew is as good as you tell everyone it is. We have some accomplished wine makers in the district and we would like to see
you all enter." "Horse entries are coming in well. Farmers, enter your sheep, there are several farmers classes for wool and meat breeds and remember, the gift lamb contest carries a 1st prize of $100 and support of the class
gives the show a helping hand. Cattle classes cater for breed specialists plus a heavyweight bullock class which we hope will be well supported. Bullocks are killed and judged for carcase a few days after judging on the hoof at the show." " The children's pet Parade at 12.30 is always fun - kids bring your pets, and bring your pet lambs to the sheep pens at 10.30" "There will be stalls, sideshows, and minibikes, trade exhibits, flowers, produce, and handcraft - come and take part, we would love to see you at
the show.
