Bird strikes and lightning were responsible for many of the power cuts that occurred in the King Country Electric Power Board last month. Low voltage faults caused 1485 minutes of
supply to be lost, while high voltage faults saw customers lose 146,843 minutes. The average time any of the board's 11802 customers were without power was just over 12 minutes.
