Monthly Waimarino meetings continue
The Waimarino Community Board is to continue its monthly meeting cycle for 1991, the board decided last week. Members Ben Goddard and John Compton said they felt the monthly cycle should continue, saying there was a need for a forum for local issues and local views. Councillor Ellen
Gould said she initially agreed with Councillor Doug Bennett that a six weekly cycle would be better to save money but that "in the light of all that has happened" the present system should remain. Mr Goddard said he felt the board was finding its role, after being frustrated at the start.
