Why story was late
Some Bulletin readers have expressed concern that the Bulletin did not publish the information about Giardia in the paper of 20 November. The reason for this was that the information became available from the council in their agenda for the meeting of 23 November. This agenda was available in Taumarunui on Monday 19 November but the Bulletin's copy was posted and arrived on Tuesday morning, 27 November, by which time the Bulletin was already printed and delivered. The council staff responsible for distributing the agendas assure us that this was an isolated case which carne about because of delays in producing the extralarge agenda. They have promised to do everything they can to get the council agendas to us on time in future, so we can let Waimarino ratepayers know what is to be discussed at up-coming council meetings.
