Promotion numbers up
Ruapehu Business Association support has grown this year with a pledged membership of 66, compared to 51 last year. As at the group's meeting last Thursday there were 32 fully paid up members.
Garden Award will take place some time in February 1991. This award has been organised by the Garden Club for several years now and the purpose of it is to encourage residents and businesses in the beautification of their surrounds. Gardens in both commercial and residential areas within the old Ohakune Borough Boundaries are judged from the road, on their visual impact and planning. There are three placings with the first place winner receiving the Civic Pride Award Cup and all place getters receiving shrubs for their gardens. So come on all you keen gardeners - out with the lawn mowers, the spade and the hedge clippers, it may well be your garden that will win the award.
