Field events for Raetihi pupils
Raetihi primary School pupils turned on a great day last Wednesday competing in a large number of field events. The day was made successful by the competitiveness of the athletes and the support of a lot of parents. All events showed close
finishing for first and second placings. Relay teams consisting of a number of pupils and school teachers brought about a lot of fun. Principal Doug McLean said the teachers will be in training for next year's relay events.
Results as follows. Championship; Senior Boys Shaun Mc Donough; Runner Up Paul Brown. Intermediate Boys: Raymond Hemopo and Jason Bright. Runner Up Daniel Munn. Junior Boys: Seamus Manson;
Runner Up Trevor Taiaroa. Senior girls Lee McCann; Runners Up Frana Christensen and Raema Mowat; Intermediate Girls: Yvonne Cribb and Kelly Godfrey. Runner up Amy Cranston. Junior Girls Eileen Voon. Runner Up Marni Mc Gregor.
